This sentiment isn’t lost on you, I’m sure. I’ve felt it before, I’ll feel it again. That rapidly increasing heartbeat I always wish wouldn’t be part of it this time. Of course, it’s part of the game. Biology isn’t always kind with its side effects. Thank the gods my palms remained dry. A minor detail that could easily be hidden since handshakes were frowned upon, but still, a personal win that I’ll gladly incorporated into my smile. Even though I hardly needed another reason to smile, it probably didn’t hurt to add it to the cart.

My heart was racing even faster now. Sometimes the anticipation could be worse than everything that came afterwards. I mean, the concept is simple; you stand there, the other person is walking towards you, you smile and take a step forward. It’s easy.
But damn, she was so incredibly beautiful and with the sweetest smile, there was no way I’m awake.
