As he twisted the key in the door, her silhouette stood patiently behind the milky glass that separated them. But her calm was only part of the game, she couldn’t wait for the door to open. Any second now, his foot would step through the first gap.
And there it was the door finally push inwards. She couldn’t wait any longer. He had barely closed the door behind him again when she jumped on him with excitement.
“Hey, little one,” he said happily, as she slung herself around his legs, and laughed, “slow down.”
But she hardly listened to him. Did she ever? Of course not, she was far too excited that he was finally here again. Two days without cuddles. Who does that? By no means did she feel like a needy puppy that wants his owner’s non-stop attention, but even she, a little kitten, couldn’t live without her daily attention.
“Why didn’t he visit yesterday?” she suddenly thought and gave him a cheeky bite on the hand,.
“Yeah, that will teach him alright.”
“Meow!”
