Cloudy Dreams

After long he sat on his terrace and stared at the clouds. The wind blew strong and the sky was nothing but an incredible adventure park. Up there, he could see the icy landscape of Greenland’s outlines, only to dance with an elephant in the next moment, ending his discoveries with a beautiful smile made of fluffy clouds. The wonders of imagination left him with endless possibilities. Why on earth was he considering going back inside cleaning the floors? Was he mad to even consider it?

“No, tell me more stories my dear clouds in the sky,” he murmured, “today you have my undivided attention.

His gaze wandered back to the zenith, but where normally the sun would be right now, a big dark cloud blocked its rays. The majestic blob of condensed moisture eventually turned into a giant vessel sailing through an azure sea.
Where are you off to, dear Magellan, he wanted to ask but the image changed. It had been long since his imagination was this free. Contently smiling he closed his eyes, listened to the bustle of the streets below, finally forgetting the troubles of his world.
