Salty Glasses

Shunned by religion, shunned by his peers, the Scientist hides his crocodile tears.
In many ways his formula holds, until their conspiracy slowly unfolds.
When generations are Hollywood taught that scientists can be easily bought,
We cannot hope that all these masses suddenly believe those men with glasses.

He cleaned his face, he cleaned his shoes, but on his shirt is chocolate mousse.
In front of his house are vendor karts, with delicious treats displayed on charts.
He grabs the money from the table and trusts, like any child, the label,
The vendor smiles with greedy eyes and hands the youngster salty fries.

Despite the pains, despite the flaws, there’s always reason for applause.
Just take a break and look around, I promise a hero can be found.
He might not wear a shiny cape despite such image taking shape,
But always know that all the wrong will never win for good is strong.
