“No, you’re an idiot,” Tom yelled smashing his controller on the ground, denting the hardwood floor. He’d been playing his online shooter game for two days now, destroying everyone that crossed paths with him.
Until now.
Frustrated by the loss against his best friend, who was definitely a worse gamer than he was, he picked up the controller again and force shut the console.
“Don’t be like that,” his friend said laughingly.
“No, this is ridiculous,” Tom replied angrily, “I played all day, and no one pulled anything like that.”
“Dude, you’ve been playing for nearly two days,” the friend replied, still laughing, “you need some rest. That’s what I’ve been telling you since before starting this match.”
Tom looked at his smartphone in shock. It was true. He hadn’t eaten in over a day either. How was he still awake?
“Bro, still there?” his friend asked through the headphones, receiving no reply, “bro?”
But Tom didn’t hear him anymore, as soon as he realised how much time he’d wasted his body broke apart and he collapsed to the floor, snoring.
